Voters pass Ald. Laurino's Airplane Noise Resolution

November 6, 2014

By an overwhelming 78%, Chicago voters urged the Federal Aviation Administration to make more homes eligible for soundproofing assistance. Alderman Margaret Laurino sponsored the resolution which put the advisory referendum on the November 4, 2014 ballot, because she supports her community, and believes it deserves a chance to send a strong message to the the FAA.

"Thank you to everyone who voted for the soundproofing resolution," Alderman Laurino said. "The feds cannot ignore us when we speak together as a community."
