School Supply Drive

The Irving Park Community Food Pantry is now accepting donations for their annual SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE!

Throughout the month of August, they will distribute school supplies to approximately 400 local 1st-12th grade students. This a great community service project for families, churches, community groups, and other citizens wanting to help our community stay strong.

SUPPLIES NEEDED (new supplies only, please):

  • loose-leaf paper
  • spiral notebooks
  • pocket folders
  • glue sticks
  • scissors, rulers & erasers
  • #2 pencils
  • crayons (24 pack)
  • markers
  • colored pencils
  • pens
  • monetary donations earmarked “School Supplies”

DONATION LOCATIONS: All supplies can be dropped off at any of the following convenient locations during business hours through the end of August, unless otherwise noted:


  • GIPNA Farmers Market at Independence Park (Sunday, July 23rd ONLY)
  • Irving Park United Methodist Church 3801 N. Keeler Ave. (during Pantry operating hours only 9AM-12PM Wednesdays and 6PM-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11th)
  • The Linnemeyer front porch (3822 N. Tripp Ave.)
  • Old Irving Brewing (4419 W. Montrose Ave.)

Know someone in need of school supplies? School supply distribution will take place 9AM-12PM every Wednesday morning in August.
