People of ALL backgrounds, ethnicities and experiences are welcome in the 39th Ward.

On September 5, 2017, Attorney General Sessions announced that the Trump administration will be phasing out the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Program by March 5, 2018.

Alderman Laurino is a co-sponsor of two DACA related resolutions.

9/26 & 9/28: DACA - Free Know Your Rights Workshops

Free DACA Renewal Clinics

  • The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) and its pro bono attorneys will provide free legal screenings to confirm eligibility to renew DACA and then prepare and represent in the DACA Renewal application. NIJC and pro bono attorneys will file the DACA renewal applications with USCIS before the 10/5/2017 deadline.
